Howard College’s Board of Trustees has unanimously voted to revoke Diddy’s Physician of Humanities honorary diploma, in keeping with The Hilltop, which is Howard’s scholar newspaper.
The honorary diploma was awarded to Diddy in 2014. Moreover, the board agreed to return Diddy’s $1 million donation to the college and cancel a pledge from the 54-year-old to donate a further million.
“Mr. Combs’ conduct, as captured in a not too long ago launched video, is so essentially incompatible with Howard College’s core values and beliefs that he’s deemed not worthy to carry the establishment’s highest honor,” a press release from the college learn, referencing stunning video that confirmed the Dangerous Boys Document founder assaulting Cassie in 2016.
“All honors and privileges related to the diploma,” can even be revoked, the board introduced. “Accordingly, the Board has directed that his title be faraway from all paperwork itemizing honorary diploma recipients of Howard College.”
