Are You Building a Fortune or a Fortress?
A fortune without protection is only a target with better lighting.
That is the question most builders avoid. They focus on income, acquisition, and visible success, but they do not ask what protects the progress once it arrives. They build the house, then forget the walls. They stack assets, then leave the instructions vague. They create momentum, but not a firewall.
A fortress is different.
A fortress has layers. Trusts. Entities. Insurance. Operational hygiene. Privacy. Succession. Philanthropic strategy. Clear instructions. Defined control. Protection from outsiders, confusion, liability, and sometimes even beneficiaries who are not ready for what they will inherit.
Legacy is not just what you leave.
Legacy is how well what you leave survives.
That requires engineering. It requires thinking beyond the emotional thrill of “I own this” and asking whether the ownership is protected, transferable, private, governed, and aligned with the future you say you want.
A fortune impresses people.
A fortress protects bloodlines.
Build accordingly.
